DAY 287

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

Once upon a time, in a parallel world unknown to mankind, lived a happy little boy who always wear a red cap, named Fink. He was very cheerful and kind hearted. Fink lived in his aunt's place as his parent's have passed away. In his aunt's place, Fink was often abused and treated as a servant rather than a normal boy. Despite that, he was still very positive and cheerful. Little that Fink knew that something terrible was about to happen soon.

It was a sunny morning, with an absolute silence in the room. Fink opened his eyes and looked at the calendar. A red circle was on the calendar marking something important for Fink to do today. He went up and get ready to start the day. Today was like any other normal day, but it is not just any normal day for Fink. It was his parent's anniversary. Every year Fink was permitted by his aunt to go and visited his parents' grave with a white flower on his hand.

As Fink was just about to get out from the house, he can hear a thunderous sound outside the door. The sky which was sunny turn dark at a very odd way. It was about to rain soon. Fink took an umbrella with him and was ready to go. He went down the usual road that lead to his parent's grave every year, but that day, Fink felt something was wrong and decided to increase his walking speed. When he reached the graveyard, suddenly a heavy rain poured down from the sky. Fink opened his umbrella and walked to his parent's tombstone.

Usually Fink spent 3-4 hours talking to the graveyard, but today he wanted to finish early so that he could come home faster. He went pass other grave and straight went to his parent's. He put the white flower on top of the wet soil. Staring at the grave for 10 minutes, then decided its time to go home. The thunder and rain keeps on getting heavier until it reached the point where its hard to even walk.

Back at the house, Fink's aunt was waiting for Fink's arrival so that she can ask him to do all the chores. 6 hours has passed already since he left the house. The rain still pouring heavily but Fink's aunt decided to go to the cemetery and would give Fink a spank or two for being late. She reached the cemetery and has looked for him, but Fink was nowhere to be found. She returned home and called the police.

After dealing with the police, Fink's aunt went to her bedroom and rest. Thunder can be heard in the middle of the night, and occasionallyFink's aunt can hear Fink's laughing voice from his room. Fink's aunt was very surprised and rushed to Fink's room to give him a scolding. When she was in front of Fink's room, the laughter changed drastically into Fink's screaming voice. The voice sounded like he was screaming at the top of his lung that it was painful to hear.

Fink's aunt slowly opened the door and saw the window pane was broken and saw a lot of scratching mark. Traces of blood can be seen on the wall. Despite all the signs that were there, the room was empty. Fink's aunt became very scared and immediately called the police. When the police arrived, Fink's aunt was about to go crazy as she claim that she can hear him giggling and laughing. The police secure the area and take Fink's aunt to do treatment.

Several months have passed and no new information about the whereabout of Fink. The police only found Fink's red cap hanging on the tree outside his room window. Locals said that Fink's parents also disappear in such strange manners and were found dead later. There was a rumor that every year, someone was chosen to enter the Eden's Garden at a certain time and location. The time and location may change every year, but there was one common denominator, and it was a dark and stormy night.
