Ania Wawrzkowicz was born in Poland, but now she lives and works in London. She has solo exhibition in 2005, 2007 and 2008 and also participated in group exhibition from circa 2003 to 2011.
The reason I blogged about her is because her photos are very graphic and have a very nice composition. She photographed still life. I want to highlights her food-photography as her photos are very interesting and unique, and it was something that I never seen before.
From all 10 photos of her, we can see that she also played with different lightning to create different moods. The first 2 photos, used relatively high key lighting to make the photos brighter and more playful. The same things were applies on second, fourth and fifth line's photographs. Thus making the photos brighter and have a positive feel around them.
We can't say the same thing with the third line's photos.
She used low-key lighting to create a rather gloomy mood, almost depicting a person's last meal.
From her photos we can see that they are very graphic visually and that factor really catches my attention.
What I can learn from her photos is how to compose the object aesthetically beautiful while remain true to its object and also how to showcase different moods using different lighting.
