Photography by Jack Long; Fluid Suspension

Liquid Flower and Beverages are series of photographs by Jack Long. It’s about the manipulation of liquid and color, using high-speed photography to capture certain image. All his photos were not edited and were shot in a single capture. His works looks like a beautiful sculpture, with great composition in each of his photo. He wants to create intriguing visual art using liquid as his subject.

The beauty of his photos astonished me; they were very detailed and elegant. Jack Long experimented a lot in order to achieve to take such precise photos. The photography portion is only the final stage in the creation of these images of fluids suspended in mid-air for a very brief period of time. Researches and experiments are crucial, as one does not simply place the object then took the photo to take extraordinary pictures. The quality of light and form are extremely important in bringing out the characteristics and shape of the fluids.
